Learning disabilities are neurological, they are caused by the way the person’s brain is wired. They are not associated with physical disabilities. An important descriptive word for learning disabilities is "processing."

They also have nothing to do with intelligence. These children are as brainy - often having genius intelligence - as their peer group. They usually have problems with any of the following; reading, writing, reasoning, spelling, and organising what they trying to learn.
Albert Einstein only started to read when he was aged 9. Many famous people who became high achievers have learning disabilities, including Walt Disney, Richard Branson, Elon Musk, Whoopi Goldberg, the South African tycoon Tony Factor, Simone Biles, Michael Phelps, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and a whole host of others.
Learning disabilities can’t be cured, but like ADHD they have to be managed on a daily basis.
Some of the more common learning disabilities include, Dyslexia - understanding written words, Dyscalculia - a mathematical disability, Dysgraphia - the battle to form letters when writing, non-verbal learning disabilities - difficulties with intuitive, organisation of data, and visual-spatial problems.
