ADHD Coaching Modules
- Written by: Dave Pughe-Parry
You may have read in this Coaching section of the website that I do the ADHD Coaching using a large series of modules.
It is important to know the difference between therapy and coaching. Therapy helps you to deal traumatic events and deep-rooted issues in your past. Coaching is forward-looking, providing you with the tools to decide on your future and achieve your goals.
The order that we do the modules in is determined by the results of our Living ADDventure® Impairments Assessment. This questionnaire shows us where your ADHD has impacted your ability to live a contented and productive life.
Over the 20-odd years that the modules have been used and developed a set of 8 modules were used most often and a natural order developed. These are called the Essential Group.
Four more modules were used less frequently, but enough to form their own group, known as the Important Group. The rest of the modules, known as the Valuable Group which currently has 11 modules, are used as and when required,
One of the last groups, the Forgiveness Module is now firmly in the Essential group, as is often used in the first three modules in a coaching program.
Living ADDventure® Training Courses are different to ADHD Coaching even though they also use modules to effect change. Training courses are mostly focused on small groups, while coaching is conducted with mostly with individuals.
